WHY BOOK FAMILY PORTRAITS?

chaos and difficulty in life affects us all. eautiful portraiture gives us a chance to see beauty in our lives despite the imperfections. it helps us see the good despite the struggle.

my goal in capturing your family isn't to show you as perfect, but is to show your unique and beautiful LOVE that you share.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK AND HOW OFTEN?

life moves fast. family portraiture is a way to freeze a moment, to capture history, and record time. through it, we can push against the rapid pace. your investment will only increase in value as time moves on. i've never heard someone say they regret investing in beautiful portraits.

my basic recommendation for booking family portraiture is once a year. when the kids are very young, you could book more often to grab all of those rapid changes that are happening to them. when they are growing older, you can spread your sessions out more if you prefer.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I PLAN TO INVEST?

compare investing in portraiture as to purchasing a new piece of furniture. you want to make a smart purchase that you'll appreciate as time goes on. remember these portraits will be something that you'll interact with as the years go on.

kpp family sessions begin at $325 and product ordering follows your session. a carefully curated collection of prints and products are available to order a la carte during your in person viewing session.

HOW TO KNOW IF A PHOTOGRAPHER + CLIENT ARE A GOOD FIT?

while i can't answer for every photographer out there, i know that what photographers believe about people deeply affects the way we work with them. i'm looking for clients who want to see what is beautiful about them right now. i use natural light and playful interactions to bring out the best in you. my own ease with people during photoshoots creates a comfortable atmosphere for you to relax and feel like yourself. if this resonates with you, we just may be a great client/photographer fit!! if you want to know more about what it could be like to work with me, click the 'meet katie' section of the site to read more reviews.
